Attends Contours Regular 9 are a range of anatomically shaped pads designed to manage heavy urinary and/or faecal incontinence.
Quick-Dry is the acqusition layer placed directly below the top sheet where the urine enters the pad. It quicly absorbs urine away from the skin and into the pad and prevents the urine returning to the surface.
Active Zone is the name given to the central part of the pad (also referred to as Mid 50) that contains a relatively high percentage of the raw materials Fluff and SAP compared to the edges (front and back) of the pad.
Breathable material has the ability to allow air to flow through. The use of this material helps the skin to be exposed to air, which can stimulate skin health, without causing leakage.
The SAP in the core of the product locks urine away from the surface of the pad and from the skin, thereby reducing the risk of leakage. The more effectively urine is locked away inside the pad, the less risk of ammonia being formed.
The core technology with the curly fibre acquisition layer helps to guarantee a low pH which is similar to the skin. This helps to protect the skin and ensures improved skin health.
Attends products are tested and approved to be skin friendly by proDERM, Institute for Applied Dermatological Research, Hamburg, Germany.
Attends Contours Regular and Contours Air Comfort are a range of anatomically shaped pads designed to manage moderate to heavy urinary and/or faecal incontinence. The super absorbent core with acquisition layer protects against leakage and odour. The wetness indicator shows when the pad needs to be changed.
Attends Contours 6 -10 are designed to be used with Attends fixation pants (Attends Stretch Pants Regular, Attends Stretch Pants or Attends Stretch Pants Comfort). Attends Contours 4 - 5 can be worn with your own close-fitting underwear and fixation tapes on the back help to hold the pads in place.
Attends Contours Regular features a back sheet with a smooth texture for ease of fitting. Attends Contours Air Comfort have a breathable textile back sheet, which allows improved air circulation.
All Contours pads are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified as being harmless for human health.
Shaped insert pads, also called insert pads are large disposable pads designed to manage heavy incontinence with options available for faecal incontinence. They require close fitting underwear or fix pants to help keep them in place as they do not have sticky tabs or an adhesive backing.
Shaped insert pads are commonly thought as a less absorbent all in one slip but without the wings and sticky tabs hence the need for a fixation pant. They usually feature leak guards, a wetness indicator and odour control. They benefit from being easy to change, discreet and come in a variety of sizes and shapes to suit every body type and need.
Some shaped insert pads are smaller than others but they aren't to be confused with light insert pads or shields that are considerably smaller and far less absorbent.
